    We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, hardworking people to join Alcon! As a Material Handler at our distribution center, you will be trusted to work with receiving goods, inspecting goods, and verifying items against the shipment record in Houston, TX.

    In this role, a typical day will include:

    • Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method

    • Recording received and shipped items

    • Collecting injection molding components from production rooms and safely storing the products in molding overflow locations and/or in designated Gaylord with accurate labeling and identification

    • Verifying order quantity and allocating products to designated warehouse locations using computer systems

    • Performing material and product allocation duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices

    • Ensuring the availability of POU racks and scrap barrels

    • Managing molding supplies including maintaining, replenishing, and alerting for the shortage of material as needed

    • Completing order completion transactions and inventory-related investigations in SAP and CNSPPS

    • Identifying and calling out any missing, lost, or damaged materials

    • Being a backup molding operator when needed

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent

    • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

    • Work hours: 36 - 48 hours per week (Friday to Sunday - 4:45 AM CST to 4:45 PM CST and every other Thursday - 4:45 AM CST to 4:45 PM CST)

    You should be proficient in:

    • Forklift Licensed
    • High School / GED
    • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
