    Job Overview

    We are seeking a dynamic + experienced business development executive. This newly established role is responsible for doubling our sales in the next 12 months.

    The business development executive will play a critical role in generating new business opportunities by prospecting, engaging, securing meetings, and closing deals with professional service firms within the GovCon and AEC markets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prospecting: Identify + research potential professional service firms within the target markets using various channels such as LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, industry directories, partners, and government databases.

    • Outreach: Execute effective cold calling + email outreach campaigns to introduce Summit Strategy's solutions to key decision-makers within target organizations.

    • Qualification: Qualify leads based on predetermined criteria to ensure alignment with Summit Strategy's business plan + ideal customer profile (ICP).

    • Engagement: Engage prospects in meaningful conversations to understand their pain points related to branding, marketing, proposals, and/or training and demonstrate how Summit Strategy's solutions can solve their challenges effectively.

    • Appointment Setting: Schedule discovery calls, pitches, or meetings with qualified prospects and Summit Strategy leadership. Ensure the prospect + Summit Strategy leadership are well prepared for the meeting.

    • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions, meetings booked, comprehensive notes and opportunities in CRM + project management systems. Track and report on key performance metrics such as win rates and revenue generated.

    • Conference Attendance: Represent Summit Strategy at industry events + conferences to engage with prospects + partners, with specific + measurable business development goals.

    • Existing Client Relationship Maintenance: Support existing client relationships for key clients and identify upsell opportunities to increase revenue.

    • Affiliate Partnership Program: Lead our affiliate partnership program + maximize revenue share + co-marketing opportunities.

    Required Skills:

    • 2-5 years of experience in sales.

    • Experience in a B2B consulting or professional services environment , preferably with an understanding of proposal + marketing services (not looking for recent B2C, SaaS or product sales experience)

    • Proven track record in sales, client identification, + acquisition and revenue generation, preferably in the GovCon industry.

    • Exceptional negotiation skills.

    • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities.

    • Adept in creation of sales + business development pipeline analysis and reporting. • Strategic + analytical thinking with a focus on results.

    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    • Proficiency in CRM systems + Microsoft Office.

    • Ability to work remotely and travel.

    Salary Range:

    $70,000- $90,000K base compensation depending on experience, $150K+ OTE
