Structural Engineering Manager - Precast Modular Construction - Base Salary to 175k/year - Minneapolis, MN

• Our client is a Private U.S. Modular Construction Company with over 1,200 employees and seeking a multi-office Structural Engineering Manager for it's Midwest Region to oversee a growing team of 10 Design Engineering Professionals. They work on Precast Modular Projects that span multiple industries including: Commercial, Manufacturing, Education, Warehouse, Community/Civic buildings, Sports, Office, and Multifamily.
• They are currently seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to join their team in Minneapolis. Experience in Precast Modular Vertical Construction is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and supervisors.
• Review calculations and drawings to ensure they meet standards for approval.
• Ensure safe structures, quality products, and satisfied customer by collaborating with departments.
• Interpret architectural and structural plans, performing necessary calculations for structural integrity.
• Oversee project design teams, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
• Identify potential project issues and propose solutions.
• Assist team members with unfamiliar designs and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with internal departments for optimal solutions.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, architects, and owners as needed.
• Provide engineering support for business development staff on prospect jobs.
• Visit manufacturing facilities and construction sites as required.
• Address and resolve project issues promptly.
• Make timely, educated decisions based on project needs.
• Prepare fixes for errors on projects.
• Work with the production team on facility and manufacturing requests.
• Complete special projects as requested.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineering License (P.E.) Required
• 10+ years of experience in precast Modular design, preferred

Compensation:

• Base salary up to 175k/year
