About the Role
Allara is looking for a Patient Care Concierge to join our team to support our patients as well as our practitioners on the weekend. We believe patient experience is one of the most important and essential roles in our company. For that reason we are looking for someone that can help us to fulfill our mission of building a better women's healthcare experience. You will work with both patients and providers to ensure our patients are getting the care they need.
As a Patient Care Concierge you will:
- Deliver amazing service to our patients by communicating through messaging, email and phone
- Support our clinicians with patient coordination as well as actively seek to improve the provider workflow
- Provide ongoing case management and chart reviews to ensure patients are ready for their appointments
- Answer user questions about our product and provide personalized online appointment booking support
- Work with patients and providers to make sure their medical needs - including laboratory orders and prescriptions - are being fulfilled
- Triage calls from pharmacies, external providers and insurance companies
- Relay customer insights to support product development
- Provide other duties as assigned
What we're looking for:
- A background in customer facing roles, with a preference for experience with healthcare
- Strong attention to detail - you won't let any patients or tasks fall through the cracks
- Dedication to delivering excellent patient service in the pursuit of better healthcare outcomes
- Problem-solving skills to help find creative solutions to patient needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Empathy for patients and commitment to work with discretion as you would be working with sensitive data
- Prior experience with working remotely in a healthcare setting
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to simultaneously navigate an EMR and other tech platforms
- Reliable internet connection, computer or laptop and a quiet space to work
Helpful experience and skills:
- Experience working with sensitive health information
- Experience as a medical assistant, in social work, nursing, public health or related field
- Knowledge and ability to read and understand medical notes to support patient follow-up
More info about the role:
- 100% remote and can be done anywhere - preference to candidates located in Eastern Standard Time
- Ability to work Saturday and Sunday mornings on EST is required
- Part-time and hourly to start (8-20 hours per week), with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role
- Must be able to train on weekday mornings before taking over weekend shifts
