Job Description

The Sales and Service Manager is the first point of contact for our cruise line partners. The Sales Manager helps facilitate guest requests who are cruising to Southeast Alaska. The position also coordinates with transportation companies, catering companies and community vendors to ensure a seamless guest experience.

This position supervises a team of 12-16. Day to day duties include answering large volumes of email, connecting with cruise shipboard teams, coordinating dispatch of guests, and keeping in contact with Juneau operations team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary contact to cruise line staff
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Senior Sales Representative and Tour Representatives.
• Coordinate daily tour dispatch with Senior Sales Representative as leads on pier.
• Communicate with cruise ship shore excursion staff via email regarding topics such as, but not limited to, guest requests, private tour requests, guest complaints and confirming expected tour guest counts.
• Coordinate with operations team to ensure tours are being operated the way intended in marketing.
• Coordinate with operations team and shipboard teams for shipside tour excursions such as Tracy Arm Fjord and Hubbard Glacier.
• Communicate with cruise line corporate office to maintain tour inventory available for sale.
• Communicate seasonal, weekly, and daily transportation and tour needs with partner agencies.
• Ensure timely and accurate confirmation of passenger count on end of day settlements to be sent to accounting team for payment.
• Ensure timely entry across accounting software programs such as payroll processing on ADP.
• Represent Allen Marine Tours at Juneau community events, conferences, and meetings
• Coordinate with VP and Sales Director on cruise line requests
• Assist in creating and maintaining vessel schedules for Juneau and Hubbard Glacier ports
• Other duties as assigned
