  • Responsibilities

    Boll & Branch is seeking an Allocator who will also become a retail product selling expert, responsible for creating and executing allocation strategies to support sales and inventory goals at the SKU level across all retail channels. This role involves collaborating with multiple teams to ensure optimal inventory levels, supporting store openings, and driving performance through data-driven allocation decisions. Strong organizational skills, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment are critical.

    This role will report to the Manager, Planning/Allocation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner with Planning and Merchandising teams to develop the retail assortment and allocation strategies that meet sales and inventory objectives at the SKU level.
    • Support Product Strategy & Merchandising team with managing the weekly merchandise planning and hindsight reporting needs.
    • Create, manage, and analyze weekly retail product selling & inventory reports for weekly sales meetings
    • Use the allocation tool to:
      • Develop & implement in-season and scalable allocation strategies for new store openings.
      • Manage Store Plans to ensure appropriate topline allocation quantities by store
      • Generate weekly replenishment recommendations for each store based on historical sales trends and set strategies.
      • Generate monthly newness allocation recommendations by store based on previous launch trends.
    • Collaborate with Retail and Operations teams to submit transfer orders and ensure timely fulfillment and delivery to stores.
    • Partner with Retail, Operations, and Merchandising teams to plan inventory and product assortments for New Store Openings.
    • Partner with Product Strategy and Merchandising teams in pre-season to create seasonal assortments based on store performance, SKU productivity, and VM exposures including SKU rationalization of existing retail assortment and provide initial rollout needs at time of buy.
    • Develop reporting to track and manage non-replenishable products, focusing on sales, inventory, stockouts, and demand forecasting to optimize store performance.
    • Become the retail product selling expert with clear understanding into selling trends and store similarities in order to create store clusters for more tailored/localized assortments
    • Retail demand sales expert responsible for informing assortment, buy depth, and choice count for the retail fleet based on sales data, customer preferences, and market trends
    • Provide analysis on DTC (direct-to-consumer) customer behavior in relevant areas to determine the optimal assortment for new store openings, ensuring alignment with local market demands and customer expectations.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in inventory management, allocation, or related fields; e-commerce experience a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
    • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with inventory or ERP systems (e.g., Toolio, NetSuite, SAP).
    • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and skilled in time-management
    • Team player with excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional partners
    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    This position will be based in our Summit, NJ HQ (but will need to be at HQ for key team and cross-functional in-person meetings). We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have flexibility to work remotely. Currently we are operating under a hybrid model whereby all teams work in an office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesdays/Thursdays) and may be provided flexibility to work from home on other days. There may be times when you're asked to work in any of our offices because it's in the best interest of our business or your team.

    The annual base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $110,000 ( new hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role ). It is important to note that our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size, industry, and the market and are one part of the total rewards that we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, scope of the role, and internal peer benchmarking. In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible to be part of the Company's annual bonus program with a non-binding Company and individual performance-based target bonus.
