POSITION: Purchasing Buyer
LOCATION: Westlake, OH 44145 (onsite)
SCHEDULE: M-F 8am - 5pm
REPORTS TO: Director of Supply Chain
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assemble, prepare and correspond purchase orders.
• Review, prepare and notify vendors of debt memos or possible claims.
• Review, expedite and update purchase orders against mill status reports.
• Research, assemble, prepare and correspond spot and depot purchases.
• Review and verify information on order acknowledgements and attach to purchase orders.
• Sort, attach and file all purchasing department paperwork.
• Research and set up new outside warehouse locations.
• Coordinate with other departments in the ordering process to ensure the best possible price, delivery and quality for our customers.
• Maintain the correspondence for warehouses and profile maintenance.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 2 years purchasing and/or material planning experience required.
• Associate Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with ERP or MRP required, such as Axiom.
• Highly proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience using forecasting software, such as Forecast Pro highly desired.
• Knowledge of metal is a plus.
