    Job Description

    As a Digital Inventory Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for the processing of inventory-related requests for the NBC Sports properties. You will determine inventory availability and usage patterns, and coordinate with the Planning team within a fast-paced environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Track and report on digital media inventory across Peacock and NBCSports digital properties – Sports include NFL, Golf, NBA, B1G & ND Football, College Basketball, NASCAR, Premier League, US Soccer, Chivas, as well as other Tentpole Sports (Olympics, World Cup, etc).
    • Forecasting and allocating Video and Display advertising inventory for NBCU Digital Portfolio across all platforms using several tools, including ad server forecasting (FreeWheel & Google Ad Manager).
    • Collaborate with National Sales Planners with on-request inventory avails, and final sign off on media plans, with emphasis on Demo Guaranteed and Advanced Audience Targeted buys.
    • Manage effects of programming changes, campaign changes and shifts through systems approval queue
    • Work with Ops and Planning to optimize yield & provide input and solutions to address campaigns at risk.
    • Liaise with numerous internal departments such as: Planning, Sales, Operations, Programming, Distribution, Products, Research, Data Insights and Marketing.
    • Maintain and manage reports for Sales and Planning on a routine and ad hoc basis
    • On an as-needed basis, project-based work (systems and process improvement) to support department Directors and VP
    • Routine meetings with Manager to discuss pending issues, resolve problems, and forecast inventory
    • Assist with trainings/presentations for inventory, planning, or other teams we collaborate with
    • Keep abreast of industry news via trades to increase and strengthen knowledge of Ad Sales and get a general/broad understanding of industry, including relevant sports properties.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Four year degree or equivalent experience
    • 1+ year Sales Planner, Analyst, or Digital Service Representative experience in Media Ad Sales
    • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment
    • Expert understanding of Media Math
    • Strong Analytical problem solving skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

    Eligibility Requirements

    Desired Characteristics

    • Career interest in Strategic Planning; Sports experience is a plus
    • Excellent computer skills, demonstrated analytical ability and organizational/project management skills
    • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (Intermediate Level)
    • Knowledge of Operative.One or similar Order Mgmt. System, Freewheel, Google Ad Manager (GAM), or Nielsen DAR.
    • Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to negotiate effectively with all levels within the organization (Customer Service Oriented)

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000
