Job Description

By joining our team, you will work on impactful and compelling projects that advance scientific understanding of GEOINT related phenomenology and that rely on GEOINT to inform decisions in areas like defense, national security, and disaster response! We are looking for an Analytic Methodologist to join our team in Springfield, VA. The right candidate will be someone with prior experience in intelligence analysis and collection, especially GEOINT, and who has the ability to develop and apply methods that would add rigor and precision to the field through mathematical and statistical modeling. You will be part of a highly skilled team that is researching, developing, and recommending solutions for NextGen Analytic tools in support of National Defense. You will help analysts develop strategies for data-centric research methods, and will automate existing workflows through modeling and scripting.
Responsibilities:
- Apply mathematical techniques to solve complex problems and develop quantitative based assessments.
- Apply multidisciplinary mathematical and statistical models via programming language to large datasets to extract patterns, relationships and anticipatory behavioral likelihoods that may not be apparent using traditional single discipline means.
- Answer intelligence questions by using knowledge of advanced analytic methodologies, and experience in implementing and executing methodologies
- Provide support to exploitation, intelligence analysis, and product development to include statistical and trend analysis, data manipulation and format conversion, data collection/ querying from various systems, data formatting for visualization and presentation, and database design and data entry form development.
- Assess and enhance analytical tools, models, and methodologies to improve intelligence production by ensuring accuracy, completeness, objectivity, and predictive capability. Establish standards that promote compatibility and operational efficiency across analytical toolsets used by NGA analysts.
Required Qualifications:
- Must haves strong understanding of GEOINT, the TCPED cycle, and analytic tradecraft
- Modeling experience - background in multidisciplinary mathematical and statistical models
- Scripting Programming Languages and Database experience - Python, SQL, and Tabular Data
- Data Visualization & Business Intelligence Tools experience - Excel and Tableau
- Must be able to work rapidly in a high tempo environment that often requires multi-tasking
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the GEOINT Communitiy
- TS/SCI clearance (with CI Poly)
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of relevant professional work experience OR a Master’s Degree with 3 years of relevant professional work experience

Desired:
- Past experience creating documentation to convey methodologies, procedures and processes - like SOPs, training manuals, or CONOPs
- Experience with Geospatial and Mapping Tools, primarily ArcPro (ArcGIS Pro)
- Experience with IC Specific Programs or Tools such as FADE MIST, FADE Watchbox, JEMA, SAFEHOUSE, Bohdi, Thresher, DataXplorer, Mission Presenter
