  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    _ Job Summary:_

    • Production and purification of research-grade AAV vectors in support of client drug substance process development and characterization. The team will provide support for analytical development areas of the Research Vector group.

    _ Position Responsibilities:_

    • Perform routine analytical assays on a weekly basis to determine product quality and characterization.
    • Characterize AAV viral vectors according to established protocols and report assay results in a timely manner.
    • Document analysis according to good documentation practices in electronic laboratory notebook or other documentation methods such as test data worksheets or other prescribed methods.
    • Perform DNA and Protein analysis including both quantitative and qualitative assays, e.g., ELISA, protein expression assays, MSD, HPLC and ddPCR.
    • Perform in vitro bioassays to measure product strength.
    • Formulation and testing of buffers and materials needed for routine assays and assay optimization.
    • 1.       1.   * Laboratory operations (ordering supplies, preparing buffers/mobile phase/culture media, operating laboratory equipment, participation in quality and safety assessments, sample receipt/management, utilize electronic lab notebook, data authoring/review/integrity following good documentation practices).
      
    • Support research scientists with their experiments based on company protocol, method, and procedures.
    • Assist with maintenance of laboratory equipment.
    • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory.
    • Follow good laboratory, documentation, and safety practices.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Basic Minimum Requirements:**

    • MS/BS with at least 1 year of full-time industry experience
    • 1+ years of ELISA and HPLC experience in industry

    _ Additional Preferred Skill Sets:_

    • PCR experience is highly preferred
    • Utilizing electronic lab notebook, data authoring/review/integrity following good documentation practices.
    • Experience with Delta V and Unicorn software.
    • Data trending (e.g., metabolites, viable cell density, flux, pressure).
    • Buffer and tubing assembly preparation.

    Additional Information

    Position is Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with weekends and/or holidays as required by business needs. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA **** are encouraged to apply.
