    Human Resources Manager

    Job Summary

    The Human Resources Manager performs many duties related to the entire employee life cycle. This includes employee relations, benefits management, payroll functions, and management training. The HR Manager must be adept to handle sensitive, confidential issues by relating to individuals at all levels of the organization. It is critical that the HR Manager can balance the interests of the employees, company, HR policies, and governmental laws and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Track and facilitate the onboarding process for all employees. This includes communicating with the managers and employees to ensure that every document is completed

    • Execute necessary payroll functions, including adding missing hours, calculating overtime and formatting the sheet so that it can be inputted efficiently

    • Assist employees with payroll questions

    • Track and execute raises, job changes, accurately

    • Complete state and federal employment reports

    • Assist in state and private employment verifications

    • Field and assist with complaints, concerns, conflict resolution, and other sensitive issues

    • Maintain comprehensive and accurate employee files, physical and electronic

    • Stay up to date on the most pressing human resources and employment issues

    • Keep company policies clear and up to date as well as communicate these policies to all employees

    • Facilitate and execute any new policies put forth by owners

    • Track and maintain benefits for eligible employees each month

    • Assist with any benefits questions and requests

    • Execute open enrollment each year

    • Assist with signing up eligible employees for the 401K program

    • Assist and facilitate with any recruiting, including reference calls, writing offer letters or posting jobs

    • Assist with succession planning for all districts

    • Assist with finding management candidates, as well as interviewing candidates

    • Completes necessary offboarding tasks, including exit interviewing, changing passwords, etc.

    Other Responsibilities

    • Provide HR workshops, including, but not limited to training about onboarding, sexual harassment, progressive discipline, how to do interviews, etc.

    o This will require traveling 10%-15% of time

    • Assist managers to set and achieve goals through employee engagement/reward programs

    • Help come up with creative and effective solutions for job roles, employee retention, etc.

    • Conduct annual, or semi-annual reviews/interviews todevelop and maintain strong and open relationships with employees

    • Facilitate any strategic planning through talent management and expertise

    • Develop a holistic, employee-oriented HR department with a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

    Qualifications and Skills

    You will need to be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, delegating duties as appropriate. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be communicating daily with all levels of the organization, from associates to District Managers as well as external customers.

    The following are qualifications essential to the role:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or relevant field

    • Minimum of 1 year of HR related experience

    OR

    • Minimum of 2 years HR related with experience regarding:

    o Employee relations

    o Payroll

    o Conflict resolution

    • Proficient computer skills utilizing Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
