    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Anesthesia Tech I - temporary.

    In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for stocking all anesthetic supplies for ORs Maintaining all anesthetic equipment Insuring anesthetic equipment is available Responds to codes within the limitation of the job responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

    ** Patient Care nbsp;**

    • Responds to Codes in line with duties ** ******

    nbsp;

    ** Equipment**

    • Calibrates and runs Quality Control and Quality Assurance analysis
    • Calibrates and trouble shoots anesthesia machines
    • Sets up Level I RIS syringe pumps capnographs TEG and TEEs
    • Sets up intravenous central venous arterial pulmonary artery catheters using sterile techniques percutaneous introducer kits double lumen kits triple lumen kits long arm CVP kits chest tubes ARNDT blockers univent tubes trans tracheal intubations fiberoptic scopes LMAs tube changers jet ventilation and resuscitation bags nbsp;
    • Clears debris and equipment from the surface and drawers of used anesthesia machines
    • Ensures the sterility and cleanliness of all machines
    • Performs all standard procedural checks on equipment nbsp;
    • Assists with trouble shooting technical problems nbsp;
    • Makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment
    • Informs Engineering and supervisor of needed repairs nbsp;

    ** Supplies**

    • Checks machine drawers to insure they are well stocked
    • Makes available fluids Lactated Ringers Plasma Lite Normal Saline Hespan Flextend FFP Whole Blood and Albumin
    • Disposes of supplies used in regular and contaminated cases

    nbsp;

    ** Gases**

    • Ensures medical pipeline is operational including N2O O2 and Medical Air
    • Checks the status of nitrous oxide nitrogen and carbon dioxide cylinder banks to determine available supply pressure
    • Replaces empty cylinders

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a High School Education Required One year of work experience in a periop area or related field and/or familiarity with OR drug and equipment terminology required Must be able to Read write follow instructions Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs Basic computer skills

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,622.60 - $65,662.60 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
