    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Anesthesia Tech III.

    In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for assisting licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition and preparation and of the equipment and Supplies required for the administration of anesthesia for multiple areas covered within the organization i e GI Cath Lab EP Specials MRI TEE and CCK Contribute to safe efficient and cost effective anesthesia care Support the Anesthesia provider in routine and complex surgical cases Provide patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before during and after anesthesia Provide upkeep of equipment care such as cleaning sterilizing assembling and requisitioning and recording of inspections and maintenance regularly performed by Bio Medical Engineering Assists in supplying the Anesthesia provider with a variety of mechanical pneumatic and electronic equipment used to monitor evaluate and manage the patient undergoing Anesthesia Performs supply inventory ordering unpacking and stocking of supplies used by anesthesia for surgery Orders floor stock medications from pharmacy and ensures safe and secure delivery of non narcotic medications for Anesthesia daily use Responsible for Documenting equipment repairs and other related activities as necessary to support the Anesthesia provider while caring for the patients

    Job Responsibilities:

    -Prioritize and organize daily work.

    -Review and access anesthesia equipment in OR at start of shift. Check deliveries waiting to be opened and shelved.

    -Complete daily assignments in an organized, timely, and efficient manner.

    -Maintains inventory of anesthesia supplies according to par volumes and within approved budget. Validate received order for accuracy.

    -Responds to emergencies as appropriate. Demonstrates an ability to set priorities.

    -Consistently responds to staff and unit needs in a timely manner.

    -Accurately reports pertinent patient information to the physician, anesthesia manager or designee. -Complies with regulatory and WUH policies governing safety standards and infection control.

    -Complete all anesthesia machine test as required. Inspects cleanliness of equipment

    -Cleans anesthesia machines utilizing appropriate procedure

    -Cleans anesthesia equipment (Washing or sterilizing) in Main OR

    -Cleans anesthesia carts and tables in ASU, PACU, Endo, and L&D.

    -Demonstrate ability to identify sterile and unsterile steam, gas sterrad supplies.

    Demonstrate ability to identify unsafe, expired medications and supplies and notify pharmacy, MD, Anesthesia manager or any-appropriate personnel.

    Restocks anesthesia carts, machines

    -Checks levels of stock in each OR and tables in all areas.

    -Replenish supplies.

    Disassemble equipment and inspects for damage, wear, cracks or leaks.

    -Check for improper operations and replace as needed.

    -Performs other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a High School diploma or GED Five 5 years work experience in anesthesia associate/ tech work BLS required Anesthesia Certification required Excellent communication skills both oral & written interpersonal and organization skills Basic computer skills including knowledge of HBOC and Par Assist

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Associates Degree

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $82,319.60 - $84,270.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
