About the Animal Attendant Position (Intern)

We're seeking a friendly and energetic Animal Attendant to join our team. As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, from greeting customers to socializing animals. Our Animal Attendant strives to give our animals the most comfortable experience possible in the time they're with us, and to provide our customers with exceptional service.

Animal Attendant Responsibilities

• Feeding the animals and exercising them when necessary
• Cleaning out cages and tanks
• Making sure the temperature and conditions are correct for the animal
• Prepare animals for customers
• Serving the customers and taking payment
• Advising customers how to look after the animals they buy
• Selling pet care products
• Receiving and unpacking stock and filling shelves
• Cleaning and tidying the shop.

Animal Attendant Requirements

• An energetic, friendly, and customer service-oriented personality
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must be able to stay on your feet for multiple hours at a time
• Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds
• Be willing to assist with other duties as needed
• Must be able to work as part of a team
• 16 and older is preferred

• Clean, hole-free jeans
• Shirts will be provided

Typical Business Hours

• Monday-Saturday
• 11am-8pm
• Sunday
• 12pm-6pm
