Job Description

We’re looking for a Finance Controller of our startup, which is a rollup of a niche and fast-growing sector. We need this person to start immediately, and location is totally flexible (can be fully remote). 

As finance controller, you will be the senior-most finance employee and will oversee all financial activities. Our company will be highly acquisitive, and we be centralizing the accounting and financial reporting function. We are looking for someone with a ton of horsepower, kindness and honestly. It will be fast-paced and scrappy and most of all, fun.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and personnel
• Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments
• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
• Conduct internal audits to assess financial status
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Most important is work ethic, kindness and honesty
• Previous experience in accounting management or other related fields
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP (we will need annual audited financials)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
