JOB TITLE: Administrative Intern, Work-Study

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties & Responsibilities: This intern will assist in the creation of outreach / promotional materials for events; they will assist in developing marketing packages for all events and programming which includes designing and branding marketing campaigns, social media posts, advertisements, brochures, and posters. These items must be utilized in both a digital and traditional paper format. Experience with graphic design and website design required. Experience with graphic design software and/or web design software like Adobe Suite, Canva, & Squarespace desired.
This position also involves providing hands-on technology support to improve social media presence for our collaborative partners and their participants. You may be asked to create video, photo, and/or social media presentations to market our programs and events. This may involve organizing digital marketing files, story editing, etc. Opportunities to assist with script development and facilitation may be available, depending on intern's prior experience and comfort level with narrative work. This may include assisting with basic technical and post-production tasks, such as digital story editing; video compression/file exporting & transferring. On-premises marketing is necessary for taking photos at events and posting events on twitter and Instagram
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a current student of the Community College of Denver, taking at least six hours of credit and awarded work-study funds
You must be able to use social media like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Snapchat is a plus
Additional Qualifications: HTML coding / programming a plus. This employee must be able to accept constructive criticism on all work and know it is nothing personal. The employee must be able to make decisions on their own and stick to deadlines. This job sometimes requires you to be alert and on call for last minute details and changes. 20 hours per week usually 4 to 5 hour shifts, Monday through Friday and sometimes Saturdays if required. A marketing intern must be able to share thoughts and ideas with the supporting team and take action with the scope of work provided in detail. This job is in the Business Department so having a business or entrepreneur spirit will be beneficial
TIME COMMITMENT
Up to 20 hours a week (may not exceed 20 hours per week)
