The Apartment leasing agent is responsible for being the initial contact person for the residents and perspective tenants of the apartment complex. They will perform tasks related to the marketing, leasing, and management of the apartment units. The leasing agent will also work directly with the Property manager and other staff to ensure the current residents leasing and maintenance requests are received and handled in a professional and caring manner.
Responsibilities:
Meeting potential renters and guiding them on tours of available units
Following up on leads for potential renters
Performing background checks, credit checks and other responsibilities to see if prospective renters are qualified
Preparing leasing documents for potential renters using property standards and regulations
Handling the collection of rent payments, security deposits and application fees
Communicating with residents regarding leasing and maintenance requests
Building a rapport with current tenants to give them personalized service
Courteous and efficient handling of resident's requests and complaints
Keeping an eye on community facilities, and helping maintain the "curb appeal" of the property
