Job Summary

Robert Tylisz Appliance is looking for an Appliance Delivery and Installation Technician to join our team full-time.

As an Appliance Delivery and Installation Technician, you are a key member of the team responsible for the delivering, installing, hooking up and demonstrating operation of household appliances for our customers. If you enjoy offering the highest level of customer service and communicate honestly and respectfully with customers and co-workers alike and to conduct yourself in a polite, professional manner on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

Deliver, install, connect and demonstrate operation of electric and gas home appliances for customers.

Communicate with customers to confirm delivery/installation of their new appliances, removal of old appliances.

Diagnose and resolve installation or connection problems on the spot for complete installation service and customer satisfaction.

Follow delivery/installation schedules efficiently, maintain installation service records, and communicate customer hook up service requirements in a timely manner.

Work in Michigan City, LaPorte, Valparaiso and surrounding areas.

Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License with a clean record

Must be at least 18 years of age

The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Excellent time management skills

Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck/express van.

Effective communication skills for a positive service oriented relationships with customers and co-workers.
