    Omega Force Appliance is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Appliance Repair Technician Trainees. In this role, you’ll receive hands-on training alongside experienced technicians, learning the skills needed to perform in-home repairs on appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, washers, and dryers. Our comprehensive training program includes both on-the-job learning and weekly classroom sessions held on Fridays at our educational training partner facility in Eden Prairie.

    Trainees will receive an hourly pay rate of $25 / hr. during the training period and will transition to a commission based pay (converted to an hourly rate w/ paid overtime) that typically results in a pay range between $80,000 - $140,000 annually based on individual performance.

    Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record sufficient to clear insurance assessment. Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Ability to lift 75 lbs. Strong desire to work in a customer-centered environment, leaving a positive impression with every interaction. Available to attend classroom training every Friday starting January 24th through April 18th at Hennepin Technical college in Eden Prairie MN.

    Job description: The Appliance Repair Technician is at the center of what we do at Omega Force Appliance Repair. Our technicians are the face of the company and the primary source of our success. Technicians perform in-home field service for a range of customers and home appliances. Responsibilities include: · Driving to multiple customer homes daily to conduct repairs on refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, microwaves, washers and dryers.

    · Diagnosis of symptoms by evaluating function, tracing electrical circuits, using diagnostic tools, using multi-meters, performing mechanical evaluations, researching common failures and technical documents.

    · Respecting customers home environment.

    · Communicating with customers professionally to understand their appliance issues, present findings, present quotes, schedule follow up visits and close sales.

    · Performing research using a variety of technical resources to identify parts or repair processes.

    · Contacting and communicating with in-house and external technical support resources where needed.

    · Ordering, tracking and receiving parts to conduct repairs and replenish van stock.

    · Using job tracking software to research and record all aspects of service visits and repair status.

    · Informing customers of available added services such as dryer vent cleaning, preventive maintenance and appliance protection plans.

    Ideal Candidate Qualities:

    Technical and Mechanical Aptitude: Possess a foundational understanding of technical or mechanical concepts. Experience in fields like automotive repair, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work is beneficial.

    Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to approach and resolve technical issues logically and efficiently, with a history of troubleshooting skills, even if informal.

    Adaptability and Willingness to Learn: Open to a dynamic training program with a strong record of learning new skills quickly and consistently.

    Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure positive customer interactions and satisfaction.

    Digital Literacy: Comfortable using smartphone and iPad applications, web resources, and software to support repair processes.

    Attention to Detail and Safety Awareness: Careful attention to detail to ensure safe and accurate repairs, avoiding damage or safety risks.

    Reliability and Time Management: Proven punctuality and commitment, essential for managing a busy field schedule and training readiness.

    Physical Readiness for Field Work: Physically capable of handling fieldwork requirements, including lifting parts and working in confined spaces.
