BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: • Greet customers being friendly and professional, welcoming customers to Lane’s Home Appliance Store and ensuring customer is treated with integrity and honesty. • Engages with customers for in-store, over the phone, or online options to complete sales. • Helps ensure a positive customer experience by building “like family” relationships, exhibiting empathy, inquisitiveness and providing solutions to their needs. • Applies a high level of product knowledge and expertise through ongoing learning and training to ensure an excellent customer shopping experience. • Utilizes in house systems to stay current on promotional initiatives and other sales initiatives such as credit services, extended warranties, extended financing, repair services, delivery and other options. • Processes point of sale transactions including online and in-person orders while assisting with returns and exchanges. • Generates future opportunities utilizing discovery of future needs of our customers to build lasting relationships and ensure return to location. • Provides feedback on products and customer engagement with vendor partners, representatives, and market teams. • Acts as trusted subject matter expert, brand advocate, and product champion for specified vendor product assortment. • Assist with product placement and movement, stock relocation, display set up, floor planning, and general maintenance to ensure showroom cleanliness. • Achieves an excellent customer shopping experience by treating customer like family.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS: • 1 year of sales related experience including selling additional products such as extended warranties, protection plans, delivery and credit services. • 1 year of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, and interpreting data. This should include the ability to learn new programs quickly and a high degree of accuracy. • 1 year of experience using a handheld device (mobile phone, tablet, other devices) to enter, access, and output information. • Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs. without assistance. • Assist with product placement and movement, stock relocation, display set up, floor planning, and general maintenance to ensure showroom cleanliness. • Open scheduling availability that would include 25-35 hours a week Monday through Saturday 9am-8pm, no Sundays.
