    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    Rapid Die Cut is seeking a skilled and experienced Application Engineer with expertise in non-metallic materials and adhesives. This role is pivotal in driving customer satisfaction through accurate quoting and project management. As the subject matter expert, the Application Engineer will provide essential guidance on non-metallic materials and manufacturing services both internally and externally, leveraging their CAD proficiency, design for manufacturability knowledge, and technical aptitude.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Customer Quoting:

    Provide accurate and timely quotes to customers, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer expectations.

    Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop pricing recommendations for large-scale projects.

    Technical Expertise & Customer Education:

    By becoming an expert in the manufacturing processes, educate customers on the capabilities and limitations of these processes.

    Act as the subject matter expert on non-metallic materials and adhesives, advising customers on the best solutions for their needs.

    Support internal product, sales, quoting, and marketing teams by providing customer feedback

    Support marketing efforts by serving as an industry thought leader through content development, blog posts, webinars, and at events and webinars

    Sales Team Support & Training:

    Guide and train the sales team on materials, adhesives, and opportunities for larger volume projects.

    Partner with sales team members to close deals and achieve company sales targets.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

    Sales Support:

    Work closely with the sales team to ensure high conversion rates from opportunities to closed sales.

    Meet company sales targets through effective partnership with sales team members.

    Timeliness & Responsiveness:

    Provide timely responses to inquiries from customers and sales team members.

    Customer Satisfaction:

    Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering accurate and relevant technical information and support.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    Leadership & Collaboration:

    Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively within internal teams and customers.

    Business Acumen:

    Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to make sound business decisions.

    Communication Skills:

    Excellent business correspondence skills with the ability to present to large groups, both in-person and via phone.

    Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust and rapport with customers, vendors, and team members.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is highly preferred or equivalent work experience

    Experience:

    Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on experience with non-metallic materials and manufacturing.

    Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

    Technical Proficiency:

    Proficient in CAD and experienced in design for manufacturability.

    Strong computer skills, particularly in CRM systems, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs.

    Interpersonal Skills:

    Strong communicator, able to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.

    Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
