Wright Technical Services is seeking an Applications Engineer to support a client who is a leader in the automated CNC space. This role involves executing turnkey projects, from single machines to multi-million-dollar systems, with a strong focus on hands-on implementation processes using CNC Machining Centers. Travel to customer sites can be up to 75% during a project.

Responsibilities:

\- Prepare CNC equipment and layout machine cell area for efficient implementation.

\- Confirm machine setup, charge machines with coolant, and verify grid shifts.

\- Setup, assemble, and inventory cutting tools.

\- Dial-in machining processes, interpret inspection results, and perform runoff.

\- Inspect parts using manual gages and evaluate data, conducting Gage R&R studies.

\- Provide technical updates and weekly Engineering Service Reports to track project progress.

\- Validate tasks at customer facilities including setups, machining process, and training.

\- Capture full backups of machine settings and compile final documentation for customers.

Qualifications:

\- Strong machining knowledge and hands-on mechanical aptitude.

\- Proficient in MS Office, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

\- Familiarity with trigonometry, geometry, and part print reading (GD&T).

\- Preferred education in a related field with experience in manufacturing environments.
