  • Responsibilities

    Summit Technologies, Inc. is looking for an Application System Analyst/Programmer (Junior level) to participate in the design, development, analysis, and implementation of software operating systems and software application programs. This is an on-site position based in Elizabeth City, NC.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide full life cycle design and development of software operating systems and applications.
    • Support the designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
    • Assist Engineers and Analysts with hardware and software integration into operating systems.
    • Analyze system architecture requirements; perform requirements acquisition, definition and data analysis.
    • Customize purchased applications.
    • Perform technical and subject matter research on emerging technologies to determine the impact on application execution.
    • Analyze and document client needs and requirements.
    • Write, modify, and maintain technical documentation and specifications such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
    • Perform integration testing and support of various computer operating and network systems.
    • Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications.
    • Participate in special projects.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • You must have at least 2 years of experience working in IT.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Software Engineering, including the design, coding, testing, and documentation of computer programs.
    • Experience as an ASP .NET/ASP.NET Core Developer.
    • Hands-on experience developing ASP.NET Core/ ASP .NET MVC applications.
    • Well-versed with Microsoft’s .NET framework and tech stack.
    • Proficient with C# and VB.NET programming languages.
    • An understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and methods.
    • Experience in backend database procedure, Full Stack Development experience desired.
    • Knowledge of Agile methodology and tools like JIRA, GIT etc.
    • Experience with principles, practices and procedures used in the phases of life cycle applications and Systems Development, Engineering, Programming and Analysis.
    • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

    Education:

    • A college degree or an Information Technology (IT) certification in lieu of a degree.
