Applications Engineer Opening
Location: Marlboro, New York
Employment Type: Direct Hire; Full Time

Our client is looking to add an Applications Engineer to their team to help with their growing needs. This is the chance to work with an established, and successful global company to boost your skill set! This person will ideally have an electrical engineering background, or design experience for electronics, med device or other related industries. Having had previous customer interfacing experience will be a bonus as well.

This person will have the following responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring new designs are manufacturable, aligned with objectives, and deliver successful results.
• Establish trust with customers by advising them on optimal technical solutions or identifying when our products may not meet their needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, prototype shops, electrical labs, and inspection teams to develop solutions and determine cost structures for custom products.
• Work closely with Area Sales Managers to support quoting efforts and drive the sales process forward.
• Travel occasionally to visit customers, attend trade conferences and shows, provide technical support, and identify new market opportunities for product development.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system to support ongoing relationship management and ensure effective follow-up.

The ideal Applications Engineer candidate will have the following skillset/experience:

• CAD software: AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes, including common engineering concepts, practices and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of production employees
