SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).
****Responsibilities
- Conduct appraisals and damage assessments in compliance with FEMA's Public Assistance Program guidelines.
- Review and evaluate property values and loss estimates to support disaster recovery funding efforts.
- Collaborate with Public Assistance teams to ensure accurate reporting of damages and eligibility determinations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed appraisal reports and documentation for transparency and compliance.
- Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal and other tools to upload, manage, and track project-related information.
- Stay current with FEMA's policies and standards, including IS-1000, IS-1001, and IS-1002 course content.
- Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders, including clients, government representatives, and recovery teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 5 years of relevant experience or 10 years of experience in a related field.
- Completion of FEMA courses Preferred:
- IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
- IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
- IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using online systems such as FEMA's Grants Portal and other related software tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
