    Advantage Electric is a small, privately owned electrical service company and we are growing! We are looking for an Apprentice Electrician to join our team. We offer competitive pay, and invite licensed professionals and those working towards their Journeyman license who are looking for a full-time position to apply today.

    The Apprentice will support in the maintenance, operation and repair of electrical systems.

    The Apprentice assist with and perform installation and maintenance tasks in order to ensure the effective operation of various electrical equipment.

    The Apprentice will be trained in advance skills in pursuit of a Journeyman license.

    Apprentice may be require to also help owner with maintenance of properties as well keeping truck stock.

    Essential Functions:

    The Electrician Apprentice’s central task is to assist the Electrician. This may involve doing basic tasks such as getting parts from the truck, handling tools, and it may also involve working independently from the Electrician at times on electrical tasks that require less skill or experience.

    The Electrician Apprentice assists with and completes maintenance work orders on electrical equipment under the direction of a Journeyman or Master Electrician. This includes testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.

    In order to fill installation work orders, the Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician or perform less complex installation tasks independently. They will complete electrical wiring tasks, alignment adjustments, and calibration of equipment following manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and equipment specifications.

    The Electrician Apprentice is in a position that is partly educational training to become an Electrician. Therefore, he or she is responsible for learning all procedures for installing and maintaining electrical systems as well as local and federal regulations and safety requirements.

    Job Specifications:

    No experience required but applicant must be willing to do hard work, one year experience preferred.

    Ability to work well under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician following electrical code manuals.

    Eagerness to learn to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications.

    Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills including fluency in English.

    Frequently moves electrical equipment and appliances. Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 75 pounds. Must be able to twist, bend, squat, reach, and kneel to complete work.

    *Must be able to move from one task to another quickly and efficiently, prioritizing need based on request from supervisors.

    Demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration with supervisor, team members, customers and other stakeholders. Requires ability to work with people of different abilities, ages, cultures and ethnicities.

    Must be willing to pass a drug test and remain drug free at all times while working.

    Must have valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
