A DAY IN THE LIFE
You will work alongside our team of seasoned technicians, some of whom have graduated from our apprenticeship program. You may focus solely on trucks or trailers, or both depending on the location's needs. You will take on a diverse range of maintenance projects that begin at the initial inspection through the final inspection. As you become a skilled technician, you can expect to begin completing services of your own and eventually take on more challenging projects. You can expect to engage in a combination of problem-solving, teamwork, and skill-building. Each day will present new opportunities to learn and grow as a professional.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Preventative Maintenance — Complete PMs on a variety of trucks, trailers, and equipment. PMs include oil changes, filter services, APU services, seals, bearings, DOT inspections, and other preventative maintenance.
- Corrective Maintenance — Perform corrective maintenance on heavy equipment, including body panel replacement, electrical diagnosis and replacements, driver monitoring equipment issues, frame repairs, and much more.
- Diagnostic Work — Diagnose issues with fleet equipment using diagnostic software.
- Maintenance Software — Utilize maintenance software to review pending services, repair history, and create repair orders.
