As-Needed Archaeological Field Technicians – San Jose, CA Area
PanGIS, Inc. (PanGIS), a California-based Cultural Heritage firm, is seeking for immediate hire several as-needed archaeological Field Technicians for our Cultural Resources Division for two days of work in the San Jose, CA area. Dates are Nov. 7 and Nov. 8. Two days of survey, with potential for other small surveys.
PanGIS is seeking up to 4 as-needed archaeologists in the San Francisco Bay area to participate in a two-day survey in the San Jose area. Mileage to and from the job site and lodging can be provided. PanGIS is also seeking to develop relationships with As-Needed archaeologists in Northern and Central California for future projects.

Hourly wages will be based on qualifications and/or experience. Expected starting pay range of $25 to $30 per hour.

Minimum Requirements for As-Needed Archaeologist:
Must be currently enrolled in (or have previously completed) college-level classes towards a degree in anthropology, archaeology, history of California, Native American studies, or a closely related field or equivalent experience
A minimum of 6 months of experience conducting archaeological fieldwork that includes survey, in-field artifact analysis, or site documentation
Ability to identify artifacts, cultural features, and archaeological sites
Possess a valid California Driver’s License and 3 years clean driving record
Reliable transportation
Ability to hike over uneven ground
