About Us
Since 1989, Merrick Design Build has provided a better remodeling experience for the people of Montgomery County and Northwest DC. We are woman-owned firm and proud of our legacy of friendly service and unparalleled craftsmanship, as well as our reputation as a team of nice people who turn houses into homes. We are driven by our values of niceness, trustworthiness, teamwork, dependability, comfort, and serenity, and we are seeking a Project Developer who is excited to represent these values and contribute to the continued success of our company.
Summary of Responsibilities
As Project Developer, you’ll guide projects from initial lead through design. You will ensure seamless transitions into construction, project completion and warranty. You'll meet with prospective clients, assess their needs, issue design agreements, complete initial investigations, and create a proposed layout. Then, you'll oversee a team developing project details and ensure that the job moves on successfully to the construction phase.
As a key part of our client experience, you’ll stay available during the construction phase to answer client and production questions, resolve issues, and assist with change orders. You will ensure excellent communication and customer service, leading to great reviews and future referrals. Success in this role hinges on maintaining a clearly written scope that communicates the client's needs to both the team and the client throughout the project.
