    Position Summary for Architectural Project Manager:

    JARBO is partnering with a reputable Architecture Firm who’s looking to grow their Kansas City office location by bringing on a licensed Architectural Project Manager with a strong specialization in the K-12 Market. The successful candidate will lead the design and execution of educational projects, from conceptual planning to completion, ensuring that each project adheres to client specifications, regulatory requirements, and budgetary constraints. This role requires expertise in architectural design, project management, and a deep understanding of the unique needs and regulations of K-12 educational facilities.

    Key Responsibilities of the Architectural Project Manager:

    • Manage all phases of architectural projects for K-12 facilities, including design, development, and construction administration.
    • Collaborate with clients, educational boards, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with design and educational goals.
    • Lead the conceptual and schematic design process, ensuring that projects meet functional, aesthetic, and sustainability standards.
    • Ensure all designs comply with state and local building codes, ADA requirements, and other relevant regulations for educational facilities.
    • Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.
    • Oversee the work of architects, engineers, and consultants, fostering collaboration to deliver high-quality results.
    • Conduct design reviews and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle to maintain design integrity and construction standards.
    • Identify potential project risks and proactively implement solutions to mitigate issues.

    Qualifications for Architectural Project Manager:

    • Must be a licensed architect in Missouri and preferably licensed in Kansas as well.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Architecture Engineering, or Interior Design from an accredited program.
    • 10+ years of overall experience with 3+ years of architectural project management experience focusing on K-12 educational projects.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard design software. Familiarity with BIM processes is a plus.
    • Strong organizational, budgeting, and scheduling skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

    Preferred Qualifications for Architectural Project Manager:

    • LEED accreditation or other sustainability certifications.
    • Knowledge of educational facility standards and regulations specific to K-12 environments.
    • Experience with community engagement or working directly with school boards and educational committees.
