Job Summary
The Architectural Sheet Metal Foreman will lead a team of skilled sheet metal workers, overseeing tasks such as through-wall flashing, roof and wall panel fabrication, and other related duties. This role requires hands-on involvement in the field, ensuring that all work meets the company's high standards for quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and evaluate existing buildings for sheet metal and roofing issues, including water infiltration.
- Document findings through measurements, photographs, and reports.
- Develop detailed repair plans and communicate the scope of work to clients and team members.
- Oversee the entire construction process, coordinating with superintendents, other foremen, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work complies with quality standards, safety regulations, and customer expectations.
- Schedule and lead job progress meetings, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, change orders, and other necessary documentation.
Additional Duties
- Fabricate, assemble, and install architectural sheet metal components, ensuring precise measurements and high-quality craftsmanship.
- Safely operate hand and power tools to complete construction tasks.
- Interpret and work from drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Comfortably work at heights, including on buildings taller than 5 stories or 70 feet.
