As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Account Manager to oversee our janitorial accounts across multiple locations.
Job Summary: The Area Account Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, and profitability of multiple janitorial service accounts within a designated region. This role involves ensuring consistent service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Area Account Manager will lead a team of account managers and operations staff, driving business growth through effective management practices and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Oversee and manage a team of account managers, site supervisors, and janitorial staff across multiple locations.
Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to assess service quality and address any concerns.
Implement client feedback into service improvement strategies.
Operational Oversight:
Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of janitorial services across all accounts within the region.
Monitor account performance, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Financial Management:
Manage the regional budget, including labor costs, supply expenses, and other operational costs.
Analyze financial performance and take corrective actions to ensure profitability.
Work with the finance department to prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding services within existing accounts and acquiring new business.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategies for business growth within the region.
Participate in contract negotiations and renewals.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Conduct safety training and audits to promote a safe working environment.
Address and resolve any safety-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the janitorial or facilities services industry.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing multiple locations or accounts.
Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.
Strong client relationship management skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Excellent financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and driving profitability.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective operational strategies.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with industry-specific software (e.g., WinTeam) is a plus.
Ability to travel within the designated region as needed.
Working Conditions:
This position requires a combination of office work and on-site visits to various client locations.
Regular travel within the designated region is required.
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed based on client needs and operational demands.
