The Student Engagement division at Warren Wilson College invites applications for an Area Coordinator - Housing & Residence Life position, a full-time, 12 month, live-in professional staff role in the Residence Life Department.

Reporting to the Director of Residence Life, the individual in this role is responsible for building community by developing and implementing engaging initiatives and programs that enhance the residential experience and that promote student growth and development. We are looking for an educator at heart who embraces a growth-mindset and is eager to provide thoughtful leadership, supervision, support and mentorship to a team of vibrant Resident Assistants (RAs) so that they are equipped to meet the needs of residents and contribute to a positive living-learning environment.
We are looking for a level-headed professional who can aptly respond and manage crisis situations with a strong collaborative approach with campus partners. We seek someone who values continual improvement through collecting and analyzing data to inform practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the residential experience. We seek someone to collaborate effectively with campus partners across the full WWC spectrum, including Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, Athletics, Campus Safety in order to create a cohesive and supportive campus environment. We seek an individual who values teamwork and who will foster an environment of trust and effective communication to help assure team cohesion and effectiveness. We seek a consummate professional who communicates effectively with students, staff, faculty, parents and other stakeholders so as to promote the highest standards of integrity and excellence.
