    Are you a dynamic hotel sales professional with exceptional business skills who loves taking on new challenges? Our resort properties are looking for a stellar area director of sales & marketing to create a revenue strategy that maximizes profitability for everyday sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events. We need someone ready to be the voice of our brand and manage the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to generate revenue and meet property targets. This can be remote-based with some travel to the supported resorts. Responsibilities: • Produce accurate sales reports that include marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing strategies • Grow customer loyalty while also generating new business by nurturing long-term relationships • Evaluate market trends to determine pricing to balance costs, competition, and supply and demand • Meet sales team goals and yearly sales targets, develop and implement short and long-term marketing strategies • Assess the company's success by consulting with sales managers and stakeholders Qualifications: • Prior hotel and or resort sales experience is required • Prior sales and marketing experience of 5+ years, including some in a sales management role, is required • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing or hospitality is preferred • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and best practices
