Our Hilton Houston Westchase Hotel is looking for a stellar Area Director of Sales and Marketing to create a revenue strategy that maximizes profitability for everyday sales in areas such as rooms, catering, and events. We need someone ready to be the voice of our brand and manage the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to generate revenue and meet property targets. Our ideal candidate has exceptional communication and sales skills and loves meeting new people. This is an on-property role supporting additional hotels assigned by the VP. Responsibilities: • Develops the Sales and Marketing Plans annually together with General Managers of the assigned hotels • Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Sales departments, providing leadership, motivation, and inspiration to the team to achieve or exceed targets • Develops business across all segments, including Groups & Event Sales corporate and leisure, from both new and existing accounts within the structure rate levels/volumes agreed upon • Closely observes matters pertaining to competition (site, prices, services offered on a regular basis, quarterly or more often as needed) • Trains, develops, and executes SOP's • Motivating leadership Qualifications: • Full-service hotel sales leadership experience • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel • Minimum of 5 or more years experience in hotel sales in a director role or above • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must have a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or hospitality • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and best practices
