    Job Description

    The Area Payroll Manager is a perfect fit for someone who loves to collaborate and also work independently. The Area Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of all wages to our team members, in compliance with all local, state and federal labor laws for 3-4 properties. This individual will also serve as a coach and mentor to the management team to assist them in employing best practices to manage all aspects of their own departmental payroll responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be super organized, understand processes and be able to keep department leaders accountable.

    • Ensures timely receipt of all data required to process payroll, including department files with hours worked, hourly rates, salaries, tips, service charges, incentive pay, miscellaneous pay, etc.
    • Ensures payroll data processes timely, correctly and all associates receive a check on each designated payday, whether direct deposit, electronic or live check.
    • After payroll is processed and returned to property, reconcile, sort and manage control sheets for department heads.
    • Generates off-cycle payroll checks when required.
    • Conducts and/or supports the requisite payroll system audits as instructed and according to established procedures.
    • Prepares all payroll related reports as instructed and/or according to established procedures; including quarterly wage reports and premium payments for CO FAMLI.
    • Prepares and distributes daily labor reports, monthly PTO accruals, ensures quarterly and year-end reporting is balanced and filed in accordance with legislation and deadlines are met.
    • Maintains and updates all payroll related data, including job types, job codes, pay scales, classifications, etc.
    • Maintain and create property specific deductions to align with accounting which may include ski pass, buss pass and housing benefits.
    • Double check and approve all payroll third party payments, payroll journals and payroll funding documents.
    • Prepare and distribute the various reports to outlet managers, Front Desk, Accounting, etc.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within the hospitality industry
    • Trustworthy with strong business integrity and ability to hold sensitive information in confidence
    • Demonstrated experience with data analysis and reporting
    • Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce
    • High school diploma or equivalent required, BA preferred
    • Multilingual skills (specifically Spanish) preferred but not required
