The room layout for each 500+ square-foot suite was intentionally designed to feel residential, with a dedicated living room, a full kitchen, and a separate bedroom. Affordable Suites is purpose-built for broad appeal to traveling professionals, project-based workers seeing greater mobility, and transitional housing customers. The brand provides a superior experience within the mid-scale extended-stay competitive set while providing a unique opportunity to cross-sell in the corporate housing and short-term apartment markets. With strong corporate financial backing and an experienced executive team in place, the Matthews, North Carolina-based chain is committed to building a portfolio of 100 corporate-owned hotels, in addition to franchising. stayAPT Suites is a NEW Apartment-Style Hotel brand that is redefining the long-term lodging category. The Company is embarking on an ambitious hotel brand launch and expansion effort with plans to grow an existing portfolio of 30 hotels (owned & franchised) into an over 300 location chain across the US over the next 5-7 years. To accomplish this historic initiative, stayAPT Suites seeks an internal Sales Manager to report to the VP Franchise Operations & Training. The Sales Manager will support the under construction and open hotels. The primary responsibility is booking reservations for our most valuable guests. This will be accomplished from prospecting cold calls to closing through lead-generating booking channels. In addition, covering overflow calls from open hotels and booking reservations through our PMS solution Jonas Chorum. Position Summary Additional responsibilities would include following up on guests’ feedback through internal channels and working with the property General Managers to ensure guests’ satisfaction and brand reputation. The position will require exceptional phone communication skills, a savvy sales mindset, guest service skills and computer and typing are required. Soft skills of patience, flexibility, and an engaging personality are also important attributes. All calls that come through should result in a booked reservation and guests being 100% satisfied. This position will closely partner with the VP of Franchise Operations & Training, learning the role and understanding the business model. The Candidate will be willing to go above and beyond their duties and is excited about the opportunity for growth and expansion. Role and Responsibilities • Ensure all cold calls and leads result in booked reservations. • Generate new business, attend • Accurate computer and typing skills will be needed to quickly book guests and ensure confirmations are accurate and quickly distributed. • Interact with guests/property General Manager to problem solve and guarantee guest satisfaction/brand reputation. • Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications • Strong sales skillset for closing the reservation sale. • Experience in the hospitality or lodging industry is preferred. • Sales skillset will be required, revenue management background a plus. • Exceptional Guest Service skillset and problem resolution are needed. • Team player with the ability to manage and work independently. • Ability to manage a multitude of priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Keen attention to detail. • Strong verbal & written communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) • Must be flexible to manage multiple parallel tasks, where priorities and deadlines shift frequently. • Experience working within a “growth environment” for a firm going through heavy expansion would be a plus. • Travel 90% Education Requirements • Associate degree or Relevant Hotel Operations Experience Responsibilities: • Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network • Collaborate on creating and planning the department budget with the director of sales and marketing to align overall sales objectives and strategies for the hotel • Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads • Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share • Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan Qualifications: • Outstanding organizational skills and time management • Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively • At least 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in the hospitality industry • Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry • Hotel Sales Experience is a Priority Compensation: $50,000 to $65,000
