Area Sales Manager, New England (Boston Heart Diagnostics)
Job Description
POSTION SUMMARY:
This role supports the Clinical Sales efforts of Boston Heart Diagnostics, focusing on relationships with Physicians, Clinicians (IM, PCP and Cardiologist) Endocrinologists, Nurse Practitioners, Naturopaths, some Chiropractors and other professional clinical disciplines. The Area Sales Manager’s territory will cover Southern Connecticut, up through Boston, MA into Southern Maine.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Speak with clinicians of all levels regarding the science behind BHD testing, and how it helps clinicians to better diagnose and managed CVD. Speaks fluently on the merits of our proprietary tests, and can position our offering favorably versus the competition.
• Present product features and benefits to clinical call points utilizing proper sales technique (probing, qualifying, needs assessment, supporting and closing). Maintain and grow existing accounts as well as drive growth with new account development goals.
• Shows an aptitude to be able to convert clients in competitive selling situations. Drives new accounts to become full adopters versus trial dabblers. Shows a combination of growth from those new to advanced lipid testing versus those who have tested with competing labs.
• Approaches the management of the territory in an efficient manner. Uses all available resources to grow the business. Builds the business around the local area to ensure an ability to service customers on an ongoing basis.
• Is timely and complete with all paperwork and administrative duties, including expense reports, speaker program paperwork and others.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
• 10 years of sales experience in Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment and/or the Pharmaceutical industry with a focus in the cardiovascular area
• Evidence of top sales achievement with experience in multilevel account management is required
• A demonstrated track record for meeting and exceeding sales objectives
• Valid Driver’s License
