    Job Description

    As an Area Sales Manager (ASM) at TOMRA Food, your mission is to drive growth by optimizing sales operations in your region. You’ll manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, while building strong, consultative relationships with customers. With a hunter mentality and strong industry connections, you’ll deliver tailored solutions that exceed sales targets and position TOMRA Food as a leader in the food processing industry. Your insights and energy will be key in driving TOMRA Food’s continued success.

    • Drive sales operations, meeting ambitious targets while building a sustainable pipeline of future opportunities
    • Manage the complete sales process, from lead generation to project handoff, ensuring an exceptional customer experience
    • Build and maintain deep relationships across multiple levels of customer organizations to generate trust and loyalty
    • Use a consultative approach to understand customer business models, identifying how TOMRA’s high-tech solutions add value
    • Gather and share local market intelligence, including trends and competitor analysis, to inform strategic planning
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, and Service) to align efforts and enhance customer satisfaction
    • Lead marketing efforts, including trade shows, media content, and PR events, to promote TOMRA's brand and solutions
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    About you:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; degrees in Business or Economics are also considered
    • 5–10+ years of experience selling large capital industrial equipment, preferably in the food processing industry
    • Demonstrated success in managing large sales territories and key accounts with a focus on B2B sales
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal)
    • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales software, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of regional food categories and a strong network within the industry are highly preferred

    Pay Band

    For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated annual base pay range for Program Manager position is $110,000 — $120,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
