We specialize in paving and asphalt maintenance. We provide services such as paving, grade work, chip sealing, asphalt patching, crack fillings, seal-coating, fog sealing, parking lot striping, post/signage installation, bollards, wheel stops, and sweeping in Washington and North Idaho. We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to Lead, Coordinate, and Elevate Onsite Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work together with Crew Foreman and Senior Management to improve crew efficiency and performance.
- Ability to plan and schedule daily operations with Arrow personnel as well as subcontractors and inspectors.
- Ensure foremen are utilizing the correct material, equipment trucks, and personnel to complete their job efficiently and professionally.
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications for multiple project types such as highways, airports, commercial, and residential projects.
- Communicate effectively with estimators.
- Ability to obtain accurate measurements, tonnage and trucking requirements on a daily basis.
- Ensure foreman are detailing and providing accurate field reports.
- Assist in collecting closeout documentation.
- Submit completed jobs for invoicing within 48 hours of completion.
- Review daily/weekly time cards to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Review projects on a regular basis to ensure accurate job costing.
- Coordinate and schedule weekly activities, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Ensure traffic control is ordered and placed prior to starting projects.
- Provide strong leadership to crews, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
- Oversee the quality of paving and asphalt work to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Enforce and promote a culture of safety on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not needed.
- 5+ years of field experience in construction project management, with a focus on paving amp; asphalt maintenance.
- 2+ years of experience in planning/scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of paving and asphalt industry standards, materials, and techniques.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate construction teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols on construction sites.
- Proficient in computer skills and project management software.
