    Overview

    The Assistant Event Manager plays a crucial role in the planning, organization, and execution of events at our wedding venue in Monroe, NY. Working closely with the Event Manager, clients, and vendors, the Assistant Event Manager ensures that events run smoothly from inception to completion.

    Responsibilities

    As an Assistant Event Manager, you will:

    Vendor Coordination:

    Assist with vendor management, including communicating details and requirements with florists, photographers, and caterers.

    Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless event execution.

    Timeline Management:

    Create and manage a detailed timeline of events for the day.

    Coordinate event setup and decoration for both the ceremony and reception spaces.

    Client Interaction:

    Interact with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring a positive experience.

    Provide excellent customer service throughout the event planning process.

    Logistics and Administration:

    Support the Events Manager with logistical tasks such as moving chairs, equipment, tables, glassware, etc.

    Assist in administrative duties related to event planning.

    Create weekly schedule for events team.

    Create and manage daily worksheets for the team.

    Organize storage area and inventory.

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Prior experience in event planning or hospitality (restaurant or hotel is a plus)

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    Availability to work weekends and late evenings as needed as the candidate will be responsible to close the property after events.

    Driver’s License required.
