Job Title: Part-Time Art Instructor Location: Hawaii Fluid Art Studio – Mount Juliet Reports To: Studio Manager/Franchise Owner
Job Summary:
Hawaii Fluid Art is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Part-Time Art Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on fluid art classes for customers of all skill levels. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for art, strong communication skills, and a desire to create a welcoming, fun, and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. The Art Instructor will assist with class setup, instruction, and cleanup while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead step-by-step fluid art classes, ensuring an enjoyable and inspiring experience for all students.
Provide guidance on color selection, pouring techniques, and finishing processes.
Set up and prepare materials, including canvases, paints, resin, and tools, before each session.
Engage with customers, offering encouragement and support throughout their artistic process.
Maintain a clean and organized studio space, assisting with post-class cleanup.
Promote additional services, such as resin upgrades, Fluid Art Bears, and private events.
Assist with retail sales and customer inquiries as needed.
Follow all studio safety protocols, ensuring customers and staff use protective equipment when handling materials.
Support special events, workshops, and private parties as required.
Qualifications:
Passion for art and creativity; prior experience in fluid art, acrylic pouring, or resin work is a plus.
Experience in teaching, coaching, customer service, or group facilitation preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
Ability to adapt to different skill levels and provide encouragement to all participants.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed.
