MARKETING ASSOCIATE

Part-time position

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking Marketing Associate to implement all aspects of marketing for the organization and work in conjunction with Executive and Artistic Directors, and in-house graphic designer.  Job requires a combination of remote and in-person work. Full or part time. Applicant could be based in either Aspen or Santa Fe and may require some travel. This job is great for anyone who wishes to make a connection within the dance industry, and learn the ins and outs of running a non-profit arts organization.

DUTIES:

Create and implement written and visual content both long and short form content

Develop marketing strategy across various initiatives

Maintain detailed media budget documentation

Create, distribute and follow up on press releases

Communicate with local media and provide materials, copy and coordinate interviews

Coordinate ad placement and negotiate discounts

Develop and maintain relationships with media vendors, and facilities, including printers, photographers, videographers, writers,     editors, journalists, local media, ad representatives and others

Work with graphic designer to create ads, then oversee placement and follow up

Email marketing campaigns

Maintain an active social media presence

Oversee creation of program notes for performances, with graphic designer

Produce organization’s newsletter, working with graphic designer

Ensure informed content strategy and creation by gathering information from prediction and industry trends

QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of experience in marketing

Knowledge and experience in the required duties

Strong writing skills with attention to detail

Ability to work within timelines, and meet deadlines

Understanding of, or experience working with non-profit organizations preferred, but not required

Background or interest in dance a plus, but not required

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States

Knowledge of 365 Office Suite

A multi-faceted dance organization based in Aspen, Colorado and Santa Fe, New Mexico, ASFB is comprised of a year-round dance presentation series that brings the world’s finest dance companies to our communities, a network of dance studios spread across two states, and a community enrichment program, offered free of charge in public schools, that uses traditional Mexican Folkloric dance to bridge cultures and instill pride and confidence in its students. After scaling back operations due to Covid-19, ASFB is now poised to rebuild its administrative team.
