CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, seeking a Financial Analyst to provide assistance within the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Operations Center performing financial functions involving the formulation, justification, and execution of internal program budgets; development of detailed programming and financial planning justification and documentation; and analysis of trends and developments in DISA’s planning, programming, budget and execution (PPBE) process concerning appropriations, funding priorities, and workload management.
This support includes, but is not limited to:
- Assist in the development of detailed programming and financial planning justifications and documentation for inclusion in the Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) and Five-Year Defense Program (FYDP) submissions.
- Analyze trends and developments in DISA’s PPBE process concerning appropriations, funding priorities, and workload management, which support overall program operations.
- Organize budget data according to appropriation account, program, object classification code, and line item code.
- Review estimates to assure that amounts requested are within established guidelines and meet requirements.
- Research, compile, verify, and summarize data involving operating expenses, as related to object classification code and line item information.
- Enter budgetary information in automated financial systems, develop reports and schedules using Microsoft applications, DoD and DISA automated systems.
- Attend budget briefings and conferences and assist in answering questions to justify and defend budget estimates, program and resource requirements, and appropriation requests.
Required Skills
- ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE, REQUIRED.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) credential
- Minimum 4 years DOD budget experience. Related experience in other organizations will be considered.
- Familiarity with DOD policies, regulations, and procedures, particularly related to working capital funds.
- Working knowledge of DOD PPBE processes.
