Under the direction of the Space Strategy & Planning Coordinator, responsibilities include: Ensure full participation with Federal and Municipal entitlement programs for all clients. Support client housing need and services as IAP defined. Maintain working relationship with community housing resources. Maintain documentation and compliance of the HUD contract. Requires access to personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for client transportation.
- Works with ACCS staff and clients in order to promote Housing First model
- Maintains positive active relationships with local landlords, housing authorities, and other housing resources in order to support the needs of clients in ACCS services
- Actively works with Department of Mental Health on establishing best practices for housing
- Meets individually and in groups to support clients on housing needs such as filling out paperwork and doing searches
- Keeps current on all changes/trends in housing services/subsidies
- Works with business office to maintain current records on all subsidies
- Obtains MAP certification within 6 months from date of hire. Administers medication and completes documentation in accordance with MAP policy.
Required Skills
- Must demonstrate the following characteristics: flexibility with schedule, team player, ability to grow in position, attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Preference to knowledge and experience in recovery oriented services and lived experience
Required Experience
- 3 years of experience working in Mental Health, housing and/or entitlements preferred
- Working knowledge of DMH contracting and regulations for community based treatment programs. In addition, a working familiarity with SSI, MassHealth, housing systems, and other entitlements in MA.
- BA/BS in Human Services or related field preferred
- Valid MA State Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle
