Seeking a 2nd Shift Assembler to gather materials and assemble a variety of filters and filter assemblies according to manufacturing specifications. This role involves using hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic presses to complete assembly tasks while ensuring product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble products following work instructions, work orders, sketches, and engineering drawings.
- Set up and operate hydraulic and hand presses as required.
- Utilize various hand and power tools , including pneumatic torque wrenches, screwdrivers, electric drills, and taps.
- Perform additional tasks such as cleaning, rustproofing, wiring, testing, and repairing filters and components.
- Conduct final inspections to verify that assembled products meet quality standards.
- Cross-train on different tasks within the assembly department to improve flexibility.
- Use a computer system to check stock, access engineering drawings, and track work orders.
- Disassemble returned filters as needed.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent work experience).
- Prior experience in assembly work, fluid power, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to operate an overhead crane.
Additional Requirements:
- Forklift certification is required (willingness to obtain certification is necessary).
- Must be available for overtime as needed.
Salary info:
$18 - $22 / hr
