    Job Title: Quality Inspector

    Job Overview:
    Leslie Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team in Tampa, FL. This role focuses on performing mechanical, visual, and nondestructive inspections of assemblies and components in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in inspection, advanced knowledge of inspection tools, and familiarity with quality standards and engineering drawings. If you are detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and have experience with Nondestructive Testing (NDT) techniques, we want to hear from you!

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform in-process and final inspections on machined parts and assemblies to ensure they meet engineering and contract specifications.
    • Conduct mechanical, visual, and nondestructive testing using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
    • Verify the accuracy of data plates, tags, and test reports to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
    • Document and address nonconforming items, collaborating with the Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
    • Participate in quality clinic activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 6S standards.

    Required Skills:

    • 2-4 years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and plug/thread gauges.
    • Expertise in advanced inspection techniques, including Coordinated Measuring Machine (CMM), Penetrant Inspection, Ultrasonic Inspection, and Hardness Testing.
    • Strong knowledge of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    • Familiarity with vantage receiving inspection processing.
    • Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) awareness.
    • Flexibility for overtime as needed.

    Education & Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Level II NDT certification preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in advanced inspection processes.

    Salary: $28-30/hour - commensurate with experience
