  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Work manufacturing stations to build product using shop packets, drawings, shipping orders, and standard or verbal instructions. Work along-side other assemblers to train and assist.

    • Assemble, visually inspect, test and package standard seals or sub-assemblies.
    • Work any station on assembly machines to partially or completely build product as required.
    • Prepares assemblies for painting by stripping, cleaning, and taping. Paints as required by the job order.
    • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
    • Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
    • Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
    • May be required to perform more complex assembly of product.
    • Installs gages as required.
    • Bends and installs tubing as required.
    • Disassembles pressure vessels and other products as required for salvage of parts.
    • May run packaging or film packaging equipment as necessary.
    • Make inventory reports when required.
    • Receives approval from Quality Control section prior to shipping.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    • Two months related experience and/or training, plus 1 to 3 years on-the-job training
