    2nd shift Assembly Operator

    Primary Purpose:
    The Operator is responsible for performing various assembly tasks to support fiber optics production, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the work performed. This role involves following detailed instructions, troubleshooting product issues, and completing data entry and paperwork related to the assembly process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform essential assembly operations including prepping, assembling, identifying product issues, and packaging.
    • Follow procedures and work instructions with precision to maintain quality standards.
    • Handle fiber optics with care, including measuring, cleaning, inspecting, preparing, and assembling.
    • Meet daily production goals related to both quantity and quality.
    • Utilize microscopes effectively for detailed assembly work.
    • Accurately complete data entry and paperwork.
    • Contribute to and support safety and quality initiatives, including TQM, Six Sigma, and ISO standards.
    • Collaborate with peers and supervisors, seeking guidance when needed to meet production goals.
    • Maintain a safe working environment when handling chemicals and follow safety protocols.

    Qualifications:

    • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
    • Strong manual dexterity to handle small parts and detailed work.
    • Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow written procedures.
    • Proficiency in using a microscope.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Capable of working in a fast-paced, continuous manufacturing environment.
    • Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
