Pay Rate: $23.00/hr-$24.00/hr (depending on experience)

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46237

Hours: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm, OT available

Heavy Equipment Assembly Technician Responsibilities: 

• Assemble drilling rigs, and sub-assemblies of rigs encompassing tasks that include welding, assembling hydraulic components, electrical components, and basic mechanical fastening.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges. Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records.

Heavy Equipment Assembly Technician Qualifications:

• Candidate having automotive or heavy equipment machinery experience is preferred.
• Experience with MIG welding, hydraulics and electrical wire harnessing is a plus.
• Participate in an individual drill build team in addition to participating in the MDI shop team.
• Technicians will provide their own standard hand and power tools. Specialty tools will be provided by the company.
• Self-starter that can produce consistent results in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• At all times, maintaining a positive “Customer First” attitude and contributing to the team.
